The 2011 Christmas Yoda Maxi-Figure
A Holiday Contest Prize Nobody Has Documented
Three made. Early 2010s. Based on a 2011 advent calendar minifig. Almost nothing else is known.
In April 2026, MandR (MandRproductions on YouTube) revealed a brick-built Christmas Yoda statue as part of what he described as his “Big 3” rarest LEGO Star Wars brick-built figures — alongside the NY I ♥ Yoda statue and the GameStop Boba Fett statue. MandR noted it was given to a LEGO contest winner in the early 2010s and that only approximately three were made — adding that he needed to do more research on the item himself.
As of publication, this is the most underdocumented item on this site. Almost nothing is confirmed beyond its existence in MandR’s collection and his brief description. This article exists to put it on the public record for the first time and invite anyone with firsthand knowledge to come forward.
The Build
The Christmas Yoda maxi-figure appears to be modeled after sw0358 — the Santa Yoda minifigure from the 2011 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (set 7958). That minifigure depicts Yoda in a red and white Santa hat and torso, one of the most distinctive holiday variants LEGO has produced in the Star Wars theme. Scaled up to maxi-figure size it would be an immediately recognizable and visually striking display piece.
Beyond the visual reference to sw0358, no physical description, dimensions, piece count, or construction details have been documented publicly.
The Origin
MandR describes the figure as having been given to a LEGO contest winner in the early 2010s — placing it roughly in the 2011 to 2014 timeframe, consistent with the 2011 advent calendar minifig it appears to be based on. The contest, its sponsor, its prize structure, and the identity of the winners have not been documented anywhere.
MandR acquired his example from @antbandit on Instagram. Whether antbandit was the original contest winner or acquired it through subsequent hands is not known.
Context
The early 2010s was an active period for LEGO Star Wars promotional brick-built contest prizes. The NY I ♥ Yoda statue — also 1 of 3 — was produced in 2013 for the Yoda Chronicles campaign. A holiday-themed Yoda contest prize from the same era would be consistent with LEGO’s promotional activity at the time. Whether the Christmas Yoda was produced by the same facility, using similar construction methods, and for a similar type of contest is unknown.
