The Star Wars Celebration Anaheim entry in the 2015 Tatooine pair. CELEB2015 recreates the iconic droid scene from A New Hope in microscale — Sandcrawler, landspeeder, moisture vaporators, and a cast of brick-built figures, all on a flat desert base. C-3PO comes as a full minifigure. The same build appeared at Fan Expo Canada five months later with R2-D2 instead. Designer Mark Roe was present at Celebration to sign sets.
Star Wars Celebration Anaheim ran April 16–19, 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center. LEGO brought one Star Wars exclusive: CELEB2015, the Tatooine Mini-build. 1,000 were produced and individually numbered, distributed at 250 per day across the four-day event at $40 per set. A small number of additional unnumbered sets are believed to have been distributed internally to LEGO, Disney, and Lucasfilm staff, bringing the total production run to under 1,250.

The 2015 Tatooine Pair
2015 saw LEGO split the Tatooine Mini-build across two events — Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in April and Fan Expo Canada in Toronto in September. The build is identical in both sets; the only difference is the minifigure and event branding. CELEB2015 includes C-3PO; FANEXPO002 includes R2-D2. The back panel of both sets references the Droid Tales animated series and the iconic droid scene from A New Hope, tying both events to the same promotional context.
The SDCC 2015 exclusive was a completely separate set — the Dagobah Mini-build — giving 2015 three distinct event exclusives across three different events, all in the same rectangular box format.
The Box
The box uses the same rectangular rigid format as the 2013 and 2014 exclusives but with a warm Tatooine colour scheme — deep amber, burnt sienna, and dark brown tones throughout, evoking the desert sunset palette of the planet. The surface texture is worn and aged rather than the smooth concrete of the 2014 Ghost sets.
The front face carries the primary product information and the main illustration — the completed Tatooine vignette model at an angle, with a large C-3PO minifigure render in the lower right and a callout reading C-3PO Minifigure Included!:

The Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2015 Exclusive badge appears in the lower left corner of the front face. The Disney logo appears at the bottom. The unit number appears on the ends of a green seal sticker that wraps from the bottom of the box up onto the back, making the number visible on both the front lower corner and the back.
The left and right side faces carry the Tatooine worn stone texture with the LEGO Star Wars logo panel at the top. The Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2015 Exclusive badge appears in the lower left of each side face alongside the Disney logo.
The top face carries the same worn Tatooine texture with the LEGO Star Wars logo panel at the top and a small arched doorway element — a Tatooine architectural detail — printed into the box art in the lower right corner.
The bottom face carries the green seal sticker strip wrapping from the bottom up onto the back, plus one circular sticker seal.
The back face carries the congratulations text alongside illustrations of the C-3PO and R2-D2 minifigures and the Droid Tales logo:

The Droid Tales Context
The back panel references Droid Tales — a LEGO Star Wars animated mini-series of five episodes that aired on Disney XD in late 2015. The series told the entire Star Wars saga from the perspective of C-3PO and R2-D2, covering the events of all six films. CELEB2015 was released five months before the series aired, making it another instance of LEGO using event exclusives as advance promotional vehicles for upcoming animated content — a pattern established with the JEK-14 and Rebels releases in 2013 and 2014.
The Build
The set contains 178 pieces to build a Tatooine vignette on a 12×12 stud base. The scene depicts the opening of A New Hope — the moment R2-D2 and C-3PO arrive on Tatooine after escaping the Tantive IV. The build includes a microscale Sandcrawler, an X-34 Landspeeder, moisture vaporators, and scattered droid-sale props on a flat desert baseplate. Micro-scale brick-built figures of C-3PO, R2-D2, Owen Lars, and two Jawas are included in the scene. The full-size C-3PO minifigure is included alongside these microscale builds — he is not exclusive to this set but is the primary collector draw given the microscale figures in the vignette are brick-built rather than standard minifigures.
The designer — Mark Roe, LEGO Master Builder from the LEGO USA Headquarters Model Shop in Enfield, CT — was present at Celebration Anaheim to sign sets.
Current Value
Brick Ranker places the current value at approximately $709 sealed. Brickset lists approximately $698. BrickEconomy lists approximately $470. The value differential between CELEB2015 and FANEXPO002 is smaller than the 2014 Ghost pair — reflecting the smaller production run at Fan Expo (800–900) versus Celebration’s 1,000, which partially offsets the geographic scarcity advantage of the Canadian release.

What We Don’t Know
- The internally distributed unnumbered sets — Rebrickable notes a strong possibility that additional sets were distributed to LEGO, Disney, and Lucasfilm staff without numbered stickers. The total production run is believed to be under 1,250. Whether any of these unnumbered examples have appeared on the secondary market has not been systematically documented.
- Signed examples — Mark Roe was present at Celebration Anaheim to sign sets. The proportion of signed versus unsigned examples in circulation is not known, nor whether he signed the box itself, the sticker, or a separate insert.
