On February 16, 2008, LEGO hosted its annual Collectors Party at the New York Toy Fair. The gift given to press guests that year was unlike anything in the PROMOSW series before or since — a rotating diorama that played on the fact that Harrison Ford plays both Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Spin the build one way and you are in the Millennium Falcon. Spin it the other and you are in a jungle temple. The same face. Two legends. One extremely clever promotional item.

The Context
2008 was the year LEGO Indiana Jones launched. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was in cinemas that May, and LEGO had built an extensive Indiana Jones retail line to coincide with the release. The New York Toy Fair in February was the first public preview of the line. LEGO’s two biggest licensed properties — Star Wars and Indiana Jones — were both active simultaneously, and the Collectors Party gift that year celebrated the overlap with a single elegant piece of design.
The concept is straightforward and perfect: Harrison Ford plays Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Both characters are beloved. Both LEGO lines were thriving. A transformation diorama that literally rotates between the two worlds, with the same minifigure face on both sides, is exactly the kind of thing that works at a collectors event and nowhere else.
The Cube
The diorama is housed in a clear acrylic cube — the same format as the 2007 Star Wars Celebration IV Exclusive, but with the lid on the top rather than the front. The cube opens from above, giving access to the rotating build inside.
Affixed to the bottom of the cube is a small printed card approximately business card size, black background with white text:

The blank is filled in by hand with the individual edition number using a silver-tinted paint marker. This collection holds example 16 of 100.
The Build
The build sits on a 2×2 turntable plate, allowing it to rotate freely inside the cube to display either side. The two sides are constructed as distinct environments — one for each character — sharing only the central minifigure-height display column and the turntable base.
The Han Solo side is a gray and dark bluish gray vignette evoking the interior of the Millennium Falcon. The backdrop is a printed cardboard card slotted into two Light Bluish Gray Brick, Modified 2×2×6 with Channel elements — the channel bricks hold the card vertically in place with one face visible on each side of the build. The Han Solo side of the card shows the Millennium Falcon. A stack of two black 2×6 bricks carries the LEGO Star Wars sticker — a printed identifier for the Star Wars side of the build. Han Solo (sw0601 — Black Vest over Tan Shirt, Dark Blue Plain Legs) stands in front of it holding his standard blaster (part 58247).
The Indiana Jones side is a tan-framed vignette evoking a jungle temple. The frame is built from tan corner bricks, log-profile bricks, and a tan arch — the warm earth tones of the Indiana Jones palette contrasting sharply with the cold gray of the Han Solo side. Trans-orange flame elements erupt from the lower corners of the frame. The reverse face of the folded cardboard backdrop shows a temple scene with glyphs around the edges — visible on this side when the build is rotated. A second stack of two black 2×6 bricks carries the LEGO Indiana Jones sticker — mirroring the Star Wars sticker on the opposite side. Indiana Jones (iaj001 — Dark Brown Jacket, Reddish Brown Fedora, Closed Mouth Lopsided Grin) stands in front holding his reddish brown coiled whip (part 61975) and carrying his messenger bag (part 61976).
The double-sticker-over-assembly detail is notable — each sticker logo is applied directly over a two-brick stack, creating a branded identifier on each side of the rotating build. BrickLink’s inventory specifically notes this as a “double sticker over assembly” — an unusual construction documented nowhere else in the LEGO catalog.
The pearl gold cone and round plate elements appear as decorative details — likely representing the golden elements of the Indiana Jones universe, such as the Ark of the Covenant or Crystal Skull artifacts.
The Minifigures
Both minifigures use the same face print — the Harrison Ford face — making the transformation concept work at the figure level as well as the environmental level. The concept is not just set dressing. The face is literally the same person in two different costumes.

The iaj001 Indiana Jones is the first-ever LEGO Indiana Jones minifigure — this Toy Fair item predated the retail Indiana Jones line launch and represents the first time LEGO produced the character in minifigure form for distribution outside the LEGO corporation.

No confirmed recent sale prices have been publicly documented. The combination of 100-unit production, individual numbering, dual-license significance, and the historical context of being the first LEGO Indiana Jones minifigure in public circulation makes this one of the more significant items from the 2008 Toy Fair.
